Group Support

Our meetings are designed to offer a safe, relaxed environment where members feel comfortable to talk openly, ask questions, and share their experiences. Whether you’re seeking advice on managing symptoms, adjusting to lifestyle changes, or simply looking for others who understand what you’re going through, our group is here for you. Anticipate a warm reception and ample refreshments in an atmosphere that is both casual and supportive, blending casual conversation with practical guidance and a touch of humour. Attendance is free, and all are welcome.

Our support groups provide a safe and welcoming space to ask questions, share experiences, and navigate daily challenges together.

Whether you're a patient, family member, friend, or caregiver, our meetings are open to anyone touched by a brain tumour or injury. You can participate as much or as little as you like, discussing only what you're comfortable with. Confidential one-on-one conversations can also be arranged.

No matter where you are in your journey, the timing of your diagnosis, the severity of your condition, or your outlook for the future, we invite you to join our community and draw strength from shared understanding.

A Community of Shared Experience

We believe that those who have been affected by a brain tumour—whether personally or as a caregiver—are uniquely qualified to provide support and empathy. The group brings together people from all walks of life who understand the physical and emotional challenges involved. By sharing personal stories and coping strategies, members not only receive support but also empower each other to face their own challenges with renewed strength and hope.

Friendly, Informal, and Free to Attend

Our meetings are intentionally informal and friendly, blending helpful information with lighthearted conversation and even a bit of fun. You can look forward to a warm welcome and plenty of refreshments, making it easy to feel at ease. There’s no cost to attend, and all are welcome—whether you’re new to the journey or have been living with it for years.

Guidance and Resources

Along with emotional support, our group provides practical guidance on a variety of topics, such as navigating treatment options, managing side effects, and connecting with medical or community resources. Many attendees find this information invaluable as they make important decisions about care and daily life adjustments.

A Lasting Connection

More than just a meeting, our support group is a community where meaningful connections are made. Members often stay in touch outside of the group, building friendships that provide ongoing support through each stage of the journey.

Guest Speakers

We frequently host guest speakers at our Support Group gatherings, offering expertise across a range of topics including neuro-psychology, epilepsy, complementary therapies like acupuncture, benefits counseling, and relaxation techniques.
